Autotrader, a Cox Automotive brand, is hiring a Client Success Manager/Territory Sales Manager to join our team in Santa Barbara, Venture, Oxnard, Santa Maria, California. Candidates must live in commuting distance of these areas.

As the Client Success Manager, you will be responsible for growing and retaining subscription revenue for Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book products, and growing a portfolio of franchise and large independent automotive dealers. Your role involves presenting creative solutions to help dealers reach their business objectives, providing insights on key business challenges, and collaborating across Cox Auto sales teams to drive quality referrals. You will build and cultivate relationships with automotive dealers assigned to your portfolio.

What You'll Do
  1. Meet/exceed revenue, retention, and referral goals.
  2. Manage Sales Pipeline and Forecasting.
  3. Maximize utilization of sales enablement systems, tools, and analytics.
  4. Ensure dealer expectations are exceeded.
  5. Expand relationships with decision makers at dealer clients to maximize revenue and minimize cancellations; work closely with dealers to assess operational challenges and needs; deepen relationships.
  6. Reinforce value proposition with content and data through monthly ROI reviews.
  7. Use qualitative and quantitative data, including market insights, to assist dealers in making informed decisions.
  8. Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within your portfolio; support sales partners from other units to propose solutions.
  9. Advocate for dealers during solution implementation and onboarding.
  10. Respond to and route customer issues appropriately.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience, or alternative combinations such as a master's degree with 4 years' experience, Ph.D. with 1 year, or 10 years' experience.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Preferred:
  • Experience in the automotive industry or advertising media.
  • Experience in a field-based environment.
  • Knowledge of social media, digital advertising, and internet platforms.
  • Proficiency with CRM and analytics tools.

Salary Range: USD 92,600 - 138,800 per year, plus an incentive/commission target of USD 62,400.
