THE ROLE:
QUALITY SPECIALIST
Our Temporary Quality Specialist works within the OLLY Quality team to document and track production, specifications, change controls, investigations, and CAPAs, and is a key member of our growing team. This role is integral in ensuring OLLY has the best-in-category quality management systems to support our growing customer base! This role reports into the Senior Quality Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with supplier quality teams to investigate consumer complaints and track and trend any potential issues that may require CAPA issuance.
- Support management and development of contract manufacturers' quality organizations, focusing on co-packers.
- Provide support during trials and first production runs.
- Help ensure processes support innovation and commercialization projects.
- Hold and release product as necessary, ensuring proper documentation and updates in the OLLY ERP system.
- Create deviations to support daily functions as needed.
- Maintain quality databases, including tracking production lots, stability studies, test results, investigations, and controlled documents.
- Improve current SOPs and Work Instructions while ensuring compliance with OLLY standards.
- Support maintenance of product specifications through cross-functional collaboration.
- Partner with R&D, Supply Chain, and RA to ensure timely QA deliveries.
- Support the OLLY Quality team to ensure business continuity.

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED
- 3-5 years experience in a dietary supplement or food manufacturing environment within quality assurance (Dietary Supplement experience prioritized).
- Knowledge of 21 CFR 111 and 21 CFR 117.
- BS Degree in a science-related discipline (Biology, Nutrition, Food Science, Regulatory Science, or related).
- Ability to collaborate across departments to meet quality and compliance requirements.
- Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, and enterprise applications.
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- PCQI and/or HACCP certification preferred.

LOCATION: Remote, USA
HOURS: 40 hours/week, non-exempt
MANAGER: Supplier Quality Manager

DURATION: August-December 2025
Pay range: $34-41/hour, depending on experience.
