A International School of Curitiba procura um Learning Assistant para apoiar as atividades diárias da turma do Ensino Fundamental, ajudando a criar um ambiente seguro, acolhedor e estimulante para crianças pequenas. Você trabalhará junto aos docentes e à equipe, contribuindo para o aprendizado, bem‑estar e desenvolvimento dos alunos, mantendo comunicação eficaz com pais e professores.

Qualificações

• Habilidade de comunicação clara e interpessoal.
• Capacidade de trabalhar com crianças pequenas e com equipes de ensino.

Responsabilidades

• Apoiar o professor na organização de atividades diárias e no ambiente de aprendizagem.
• Apoiar estudantes durante atividades, brincadeiras, transições e rotinas diárias.
• Estimular participação, independência e desenvolvimento conforme necessidades individuais.
• Observar o desenvolvimento e bem-estar dos alunos e comunicar observações aos docentes.
• Auxiliar na organização da sala, materiais e espaços compartilhados.
• Promover relações positivas e senso de pertencimento na turma.
• Colaborar com professores e demais equipes por meio de comunicação clara.
• Participar de reuniões e oportunidades de desenvolvimento profissional.
• Seguir políticas escolares, especialmente de segurança e bem-estar estudantil.

The Learning Assistant plays an important role in supporting our youngest learners and helping create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and grow.

Working closely with teachers and the Elementary team, this position provides day-to-day support in the classroom, contributing to students’ learning experiences, well-being, and development.

The Learning Assistant helps foster positive relationships with children, encourages their independence and participation, and supports the routines and activities that make learning meaningful.

As part of the Elementary School, the Learning Assistant contributes not only to the classroom, but also to the sense of belonging and community that defines the ISC experience.

Responsabilidades e atribuições

• Support the teacher in planning and carrying out daily activities, helping create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.
• Support students throughout learning activities, play, transitions, and daily routines.
• Encourage students’ participation, independence, and development while respecting their individual needs, learning styles, and pace.
• Observe students’ development and well‑being and communicate relevant observations with teachers and other members of the team.
• Assist with the organization of the classroom, learning materials, and shared spaces, ensuring an environment that is prepared and appropriate for young learners.
• Support students with age-appropriate daily care and routines, encouraging independence and self-care skills.
• Foster positive, respectful relationships with students and contribute to a strong sense of belonging and community.
• Collaborate with teachers, Learning Assistants, and other team members through clear and consistent communication.
• Participate in meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school activities that contribute to student learning and professional growth.
• Follow ISC policies, procedures, and guidelines, particularly those related to student safety, safeguarding, and well‑being.

Requisitos e qualificações

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Pedagogy or Licenciature Degree (Letras) or graduated in Pedagogy
• Availability to work during the required schedule for the position.
• Interest in working with young children and supporting their learning and development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsibility, organization, patience, and a caring approach when working with children.
• Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Portuguese.
