About the Role
Alcoa is seeking a Chemistry Technician who will be responsible for conducting analyses that support the Production and Environment areas, including collections and/or evaluations related to the productive process of alumina, aluminum, and environmental monitoring of Alumar in the Refinery area. Acting in a versatile manner, able to perform different functions within the Laboratory.
Other important responsibilities include:
Collecting samples throughout the entire production process of alumina and environmental monitoring of Alumar;
Preparing (homogenization, quartering, crushing, or grinding) samples for analysis;
Conducting physical-chemical analyses that support the various controls of the alumina manufacturing process and environmental monitoring within the safety and quality standards.
What you can offer for the role:
Education: Technical course in chemistry with registration in CRQ/11th Region;
Desirable: knowledge of the alumina and aluminum production process, use of electronic spreadsheets;
Desirable Driver's License - Category B;
Availability to work in a shift regime.
