Position: Technical Service Lead - Protein
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Machine Technical Lead in the Protein segment across Latin America. Commercial savvy professional . The ideal candidate has a strong technical knowledge in the packaging industry and primary packaging equipment for meats, cheese, and processed foods, along with exceptional relationship-building skills and fluency in English and Spanish. This role will be focused on installations and after-sales services within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the commercial team in equipment projects by actively participating in technical discussions and developing technical layouts.
• Structure the regional Calibrate program, responsible for proactive continuous improvement of client processes.
• Assist the plant tech service tech and FTS teams in critical cases related to material and equipment performance and qualification trials.
• Monitor new market technologies, competitor activities, and develop optimized processes to enhance equipment performance and reduce costs.
• Develop and train field and commercial teams to be self-sufficient in diagnosing equipment-related issues.
• Manage and execute equipment installations and participate on project startup
• Implement and manage local spare parts inventory and logistics
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance agreements and pricing strategy.
• Identify automation opportunities and market needs through active participation in industry forums and fill MODA innovation pipeline.
• Leverage partnerships with packaging equipment suppliers to provide comprehensive solutions to clients in the protein segment.
• Conduct frequent training sessions with internal and external teams, highlighting technological advantages and benefits over competitors.
• Actively collaborate with the global team, discussing needs and bringing region-specific solutions.
• Participate in relevant trade shows and events, setting up strategic demonstration equipment for each region in alignment with the global team.
• Develop and manage the business pipeline related to after-sales services through the sale of parts and services.
• Focus on customer retention by identifying risks and implementing proactive strategies related to equipment performance expectations.
• Prepare performance reports, resource forecasts, and updates for management.
