Are you a driven and ambitious sales professional ready to shape the future of maritime sustainability? Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is hiring a Technical Sales & Business Development Manager to lead growth across both our Energy Solutions and Water Solutions portfolios.

Whether you're experienced in technical sales or entering the maritime space with curiosity and drive, this is your opportunity to contribute to the industry's decarbonization and compliance efforts through innovative treatment technologies, energy-saving retrofits, and water management systems.

About the Role

You will be responsible for driving profitable growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities across both product areas. In this customer-facing role, you'll work closely with clients, product teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver solutions that align with operational needs and environmental regulations.

This is a dual-focus role, covering:

Energy Solutions

  • Promote cutting-edge technologies to support customers' transition to low-carbon operations

  • Offer tailored solutions including alternative fuel treatments, energy-saving retrofits, and emissions reduction systems

Water Solutions

  • Expand sales of water treatment solutions for potable, technical, and recreational onboard water systems

  • Provide guidance on maintaining compliance, safety, and equipment longevity through correct treatment

  • Act as a technical reference point for both customers and internal teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable sales across the assigned region and customer base

  • Build strong, long-term customer relationships through regular face-to-face meetings

  • Qualify and prioritize opportunities, following a best-practice technical sales approach

  • Maintain up-to-date CRM data, ensuring accurate pipeline and sales progression tracking

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Customer Service, and Marketing teams to align sales activities and support business development

  • Deliver presentations, attend industry events, and promote Wilhelmsen as a market leader in sustainability and compliance

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of B2B technical sales experience; maritime industry experience is a plus

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Marine, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, Naval Architecture) is preferred

  • Strong commercial mindset and proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets

  • High level of self-motivation, planning, and organizational skills

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with fluency in English (written and spoken)

  • Comfortable working in cross-functional, multinational teams

  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, CRM systems, and digital tools

  • Willingness to travel as required
