Eurofins endeavors to develop all of our software applications in-house to service and support our numerous laboratories globally. With hundreds of thousands of clinical diagnostic tests performed every day, the laboratories of the Eurofins clinical diagnostic services business line strive to ensure that every patient, wherever he or she lives, has access to the most specialized and most innovative techniques for diagnosis, monitoring, and therapeutic decisions. Such activities require extensive planning and organization which can be augmented using technology.

Eurofins is developing eLIMS-NG, the ‘Eurofins Laboratory Information Management System - Next Generation’. eLIMS-NG is a comprehensive and integrated suite of tools and applications to support testing business in our laboratories worldwide.

How can you help us?

As a Technical Lead, you will deliver high-quality software (including design, code, tests, documentation) and accelerate delivery. We are looking for a software craftsman who can contribute to the development, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation of enterprise web applications and services.

You will promote high-quality engineering of the target solutions, with Agile practices, and adhere to Eurofins guidelines in all phases of the SDLC. The Technical Lead will collaborate with users, functional analysts, application architects, deployment teams, and other stakeholders to design fit-for-purpose software and features.

You will also develop working relationships within the wider Eurofins IT community and with internal customers. Lastly, you will foster a good team spirit!

As a Technical Lead, you will actively interact with Product Owners and other stakeholders to:

• Estimate complexity and workload;
• Choose the most appropriate technical solution to meet user requirements;
• Define goals, design, and develop PoCs to validate new solutions;
• Design, develop, deploy, and support IT applications and solutions as per business requirements;
• Maintain, modify, optimize, and extend existing solutions as part of support and performance projects;
• Work together with other team members (Dev/QA) to ensure high-quality solutions;
• Ensure good practices and high standards are followed;
• Mentor 1 to 2 Scrum Teams.

Qualifications

Are you our kind of extraordinary?

• Minimum 10 years of experience developing end-to-end solutions, with excellent knowledge of .NET, C#, MVC, WCF, Rest, WebAPI, NUnit/MsUnit, and Angular;
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical/development lead position;
• Strong understanding of software design principles;
• Experience designing and working with n-tier architecture solutions;
• Experience in test-driven development and test automation at all levels;
• Strong full-stack development knowledge, including frontend and backend technologies;
• Good understanding of relational databases (MS SQL);
• Good knowledge of Cloud concepts and services (Docker, EKS);
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles;
• Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices (e.g., SOLID);
• Ability to independently provide technical recommendations and solve problems;
• Experience working in an Agile methodology (preferably SCRUM);
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills;
• Good English communication skills (written/oral). Knowledge of another language is a plus.
