The team you will be a part of
The IT Sales, Marketing & Consumer Services team plays a strategic role in driving the digital transformation of our commercial and consumer-facing operations. The team is responsible for designing, delivering, and evolving technology solutions that support Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and Business-to-Business (B2B) sales, digital marketing initiatives, and end-to-end consumer service operations. Acting as a key interface between business and IT, the team ensures that digital platforms, integration services, and core systems are aligned with business objectives, enabling seamless customer experiences and data-driven decision-making. Through strong partnerships with product, marketing, sales, and customer care teams, the group brings together business acumen and technical expertise to deliver impactful, scalable, and future-ready solutions.
This Role In Summary
As a Tech Manager, you will lead the technology strategy and execution across the consumer journey—from order placement to post-purchase—, ensuring seamless integration between e-commerce platforms, backend systems, and operational functions like order management, fulfillment, and customer care. You will co-manage internal products and integration services that connect D2C and B2B channels to ERP, logistics, and service platforms, driving scalability, transparency, and agility. Partnering with digital products, architecture, and business teams, you will lead agile squads to deliver high-quality, resilient, and maintainable solutions that support continuous improvement and future growth.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Lead technical software development teams in building and supporting scalable local and regional platforms and products that enable and accelerate D2C operations.
- Propose, validate, and promote the adoption of the most effective technology stacks, development frameworks, and technical approaches in line with business and architectural goals.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements, acting as a key liaison between technology teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Partner closely with product management and digital teams to co-create technology solutions with a clear purpose and compelling value propositions, ensuring strong alignment between business objectives and technical delivery.
- Influence and manage stakeholder expectations across technical and business domains, effectively balancing priorities, communicating trade-offs, and fostering collaboration to drive outcomes.
- Mediate conflicts and facilitate decision-making across teams and departments to maintain focus, clarity, and momentum.
- Portfolio management, overseeing a diversity of projects, initiatives, and product backlogs, ensuring proper prioritization, resource alignment, and progress tracking.
- Lead the delivery of highly complex projects and initiatives, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and scope while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
- Collaborate with enterprise and solution architecture teams to ensure the implementation of future-proof solutions designed for long-term scalability, resilience, and adaptability.
- Manage external vendors, contracts, and third-party development or integration teams, ensuring service quality, compliance, and alignment with internal standards and timelines.
- Own key aspects of financial management for your area, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization, ensuring financial discipline while supporting business growth and innovation.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
- Strong experience in technology leadership roles, with expertise in software development, large-scale projects, and mission-critical systems—preferably in e-commerce or D2C environments.
- Languages: Proficiency in English;
- Technical Skills:
- Strong background in cloud-native development, microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with integration platforms and backend systems (ERP, OMS, CRM).
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, and Python.
- E-commerce: Proven track record in delivering consumer-facing digital platforms in collaboration with product and UX teams.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration, expectation management, and business alignment.
- Experience managing third-party vendors, contracts, and SLAs.
- Financial Acumen: Budgeting, forecasting, and cost management experience within a tech environment.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing agile teams with a focus on business value and continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills And Experiences
- Previous experience with ERP systems and integrations (mainly SAP).
- Previous experience with VTEX platform.
- Cloud/AWS certifications.
- Fluency in the Digital Product Management space.
- Spanish (intermediate).
- Master’s degree or MBA.
