Responsibilities

As a Tech Lead, you will serve as a technical reference and team leader, balancing technical expertise, people leadership, and project management:

1. Define team objectives and project goals aligned with company strategies.
2. Facilitate communication within the squad and across teams for alignment and timely delivery.
3. Participate in recruitment, training, and development of team members.
4. Collaborate with other technical leaders to shape the company's technical direction.
5. Ensure technical quality of deliverables, guiding complex problem-solving.
6. Promote AI-assisted engineering practices, leveraging tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation, enhancing productivity and quality.
7. Guide team discussions to remove blockers and foster collaboration.
8. Work with Product Owner to prioritize technical initiatives like refactoring, performance tuning, and addressing tech debt.
9. Implement quality and observability standards, including automated testing, monitoring, and logging.
10. Lead retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
11. Support staffing decisions and individual development goals.

Qualifications:

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
• Proven leadership in teams within product-driven companies.
• Hands-on experience with backend technologies (Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS) and optional frontend skills.
• Experience with Python, asynchronous programming, and medium/high complexity domains.
• Knowledge of web/mobile app security, session management, relational databases, OOP, DDD, microservices.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, applying AI frameworks, and agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.

Soft Skills

• Clear communication, collaboration, mentoring, decision-making, and adaptability.
• Proactive ownership, conflict management, influence, and continuous improvement mindset.

Industry Knowledge

Familiarity with financial domains such as payments, fraud prevention, or lending, understanding operational workflows, regulations, and business impacts. Ability to translate domain requirements into technical solutions and mentor engineers with business context.
