EdgeUno is seeking a Tax Specialist, who will be a key contributor in ensuring tax compliance and providing specialized tax expertise for our operations in LATAM and the US. Reporting and working with the Corporate Controller, you will play a crucial role in tax planning, advising on income tax and transactional tax matters, and supporting various departments such as billing, sales, and procurement. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of tax compliance, strong knowledge of LATAM and US tax regulations, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Core Responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance with tax regulations in LATAM and the US, including income tax, transactional tax, and other applicable taxes.
2. Provide tax expertise and support to various departments, including billing, sales, and procurement, advising on tax implications related to pricing, sales territories, and vendor selection.
3. Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement tax strategies that optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.
4. Conduct tax research and stay updated on LATAM and US tax laws, regulations, and emerging trends to provide recommendations and ensure compliance.
5. Support the preparation and review of tax calculations, returns, and supporting schedules for LATAM and US entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
6. Support tax audits, inquiries, and correspondence in LATAM and the US, working closely with external advisors and tax authorities.
7. Review and enhance internal tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and efficiency.
8. Monitor tax risks, exposures, and opportunities in LATAM and the US, providing proactive recommendations to mitigate risks and maximize benefits.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze the tax implications of business transactions, acquisitions, and investments in LATAM and the US.
10. Liaise with external tax advisors and consultants to obtain expert advice on complex tax matters related to LATAM and US taxation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of LATAM and US tax regulations and compliance requirements, including income tax, transactional tax, and other applicable taxes.
• Background in the Telecom / technology industry is required.
• Familiarity with tax software and financial systems like SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and high-quality work.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Professional Working Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
