The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and optimize batch job schedules using scheduling tools such as CA-7, Control-M, AutoSys, or TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler).
Monitor and manage job execution, ensuring timely completion and troubleshooting any failures.
Collaborate with application teams to create and modify job schedules based on business requirements.
Perform root cause analysis on job failures and implement corrective actions.
Maintain detailed documentation of job schedules, dependencies, and recovery procedures.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, security guidelines, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning for batch processing.
Provide on-call support for batch job issues as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Strong experience with mainframe job scheduling tools (e.g., CA-7, Control-M, AutoSys, TWS).
Hands-on experience with JCL (Job Control Language), IBM z/OS, and batch job processing.
Knowledge of mainframe utilities (IDCAMS, IEBGENER, SORT, etc.).
Familiarity with RACF security protocols and file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with mainframe job scheduling tools (e.g., CA-7, Control-M, AutoSys, TWS)
• Hands-on experience with JCL (Job Control Language), IBM z/OS, and batch job processing.
• Knowledge of mainframe utilities (IDCAMS, IEBGENER, SORT, etc.).
• Familiarity with RACF security protocols and file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English language

Preferred:

• Experience with Rexx, CLIST, or scripting languages for automation.
• Understanding of ITIL framework and incident/change management processes.
• Prior experience in a 24x7 production support environment.
