We are looking for a 600V Verification Engineer for Volvo Bus

The group mission within Traction Voltage System is to perform Electromobility SW & System verification globally, according to baseline releases, securing quality and maturity of the e-mobility systems functionalities.

To succeed in this role as verification engineer, you should have an interest in testing and verification. Experience is valuable, but a proactive attitude and a forward-thinking personality are highly valued for this position.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Electromobility SW & System verification for buses
  2. Fault tracing using Canalyser, Engineering tools, and other Volvo tools
  3. Develop, write, perform, and report test cases based on system requirements
  4. Work with BEV and various software and vehicle architectures
  5. Involved in bug fixes with data analysis from vehicles
  6. Ensure quality and readiness before release
  7. Work on maintenance and quality issues
  8. Support Emob ECU releases, ensuring correct software specifications

Qualifications:

  1. Electrical Engineering degree
  2. Test and verification experience, preferably in automotive
  3. Strong communication and presentation skills in Portuguese and English, both spoken and written
  4. Ability to bring improvement ideas to processes and deliveries
  5. Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork
  6. Comprehensive understanding of the final product, connecting cross-functional areas
  7. Proactive mindset and approach
  8. Good organizational and planning skills
  9. Ability to work within local and global cross-functional networks

Nice to have:

  • Spanish communication skills
  • Experience with BEV vehicles
  • Experience with Vector tools like CANalyzer and CANoe
  • Experience with Volvo diagnostics tools such as Tech Tool, Engineering Tool, and Prosit
  • Experience with Volvo software documentation tools like Protom, SWConfigurator, SEWs & Kola
