About the opportunity:

1. Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in Swiss-German to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
2. This freelance opportunity is remote and hours are flexible, so you can work whenever is best for you.
3. Your tasks include reading Swiss German text to rank AI responses, writing short stories in Swiss German on given topics, and assessing the factual accuracy of Swiss German texts produced by AI.

Examples of desirable expertise:

1. Experience as a professional translator.
2. Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate program in a humanities field or related to writing.
3. Enrollment in or completion of a graduate program related to creative writing.

Payment:

1. Core project work pays approximately $45 USD per hour for Swiss German writing experts.
2. Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. Lower rates may apply during onboarding or overtime phases. Some projects offer incentives. Please review payment terms for each project.
