About This Opportunity

As a software engineer, you will be responsible for managing all technical aspects of software development for applications including the development of prototypes, writing code in various Java or web development programming languages (e.g. Angular, CSS, JavaScript), and application program interfaces (API). You will demonstrate proficiency in problem-solving, and software design while being capable of independently managing tasks and collaborating with senior engineers for more complex challenges.

This position is a Remote CLT position in Brazil for PWD/PCD.

Responsibilities

1. Development, testing and support of all the associated applications
2. Analyze requirements/ user stories to appropriately support design activities
3. Independently design and develop features across the full stack.
4. Perform all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications including, developing prototypes, and writing new code/ API's , web development
5. Perform unit and assembly testing of software components including the design, implementation, evaluation, and execution of unit and assembly test scripts
6. Conduct code reviews and tests of automated build scripts
7. Debug software components, identify, fix, and verify remediation of code defects (own work and the work of others)
8. Coordinate between business and development and across teams
9. Support and maintain projects developed by the team; and assist in production outages
10. Participate in designs and code review
11. Design, develop, configure, deploy, debug, monitor and document new features and enhancements on the systems
12. Collaborate with designers and other developers to translate UI/UX designs into functional code.
13. Optimize code for performance and scalability.
14. Proactively identify and resolve technical issues.
15. Mentor junior developers on coding practices.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
2. At least 1-3 years of progressive Java development experience including Angular, Bootstrap, CSS.
3. Strong proficiency in objected-oriented analysis and design across a variety of platforms
4. Demonstrated experience in agile development, application design, software development, and testing
5. Experience in Content Management System like Contentful.
6. Demonstrated experience with Java frameworks such as Spring
7. Demonstrated experience in using Jasmin, Karma Unit testing, code coverage.
8. Demonstrated experience developing Web Services (ex. RESTful or SOAP).
9. Experience with various platforms like Windows server, Linux/Unix
10. Experience participating in the full lifecycle of projects, including effective use of version control, build management, unit testing, and issue tracking software (ex. Maven, JIRA, Jenkins, Git Actions)
11. Knowledge of and experience with software development best practices
12. Experience reading and writing UML (Specifically class and sequence diagrams)
