SUMMARY

Leads facilities group of engineers and technicians to maintain the facility and its surroundings, including production plant services such as preventive maintenance. Maintains and improves electromechanical facilities and civil works. Manages facilities capacities, proposing projects to adapt infrastructure and facilities to the growth of production processes. Supervises, manages, and supports design and construction projects as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the facilities group of engineers and technicians of the plant.
• Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and construction work complies with applicable codes and regulations.
• Ensure each facility technician is trained in safety, including hazardous materials and protective measures.
• Responsible for safety related to electrical and other electromechanical systems.
• Design and coordinate construction projects or facility adaptations to support production processes.
• Plan, coordinate, and ensure all work meets specifications, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety standards.
• Support the Facilities Manager with daily activities and represent them in delegated work meetings.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Typically reports to Facilities Manager.
• Direct reports include Facilities Engineer I & II, Facilities Technician I, II & III, and Facilities Intern.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of experience, or Master’s + 3 years, or PhD without experience.
• Knowledge in building or equipment maintenance.
• Experience in electromechanical and civil construction projects.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Experience in the medical industry (Preferred).
• Knowledge of personnel administration.

Additional requirements include a degree in Engineering, Administration, Facilities Management, or related fields, proven experience in industrial facilities or building maintenance in manufacturing environments, leadership skills, crisis management, decision-making abilities, and a proactive, organized, results-focused profile. Fluency in English is desirable.
