Introduction

We are seeking a Production Supervisor - Molding to join our Molding team. You will be responsible for supervising activities in the industrial area related to Molding, machine shop, robotic cell, sand system, and demolding, ensuring safety, quality, cost, deadlines, team motivation/commitment, 5S, Lean, and resource/equipment care standards are met. Your role is crucial for our business success.

You will report to the Production Coordinator.

This position is primarily located in Sorocaba-SP.

Team you will join

You will be part of a manual and mechanized Molding team focused on meeting sector indicators. Currently, we are increasing molding capacity due to rising demand. We work closely with internal/external stakeholders such as Safety, Ergonomics, Lean productivity, Engineering, Steelmaking, and Finishing.

Our team members are based in Sorocaba-SP.

Your responsibilities
  • Participate in weekly meetings with production planning to ensure manufacturing deadlines.
  • Analyze workload vs. capacity, adjusting staffing, shifts, resources, layout, and external suppliers based on demand variations.
  • Engage in workgroups to improve productivity and reduce labor costs through layout studies, process reviews, tool acquisitions, and project change requests to meet management goals.
  • Control production costs including materials, maintenance, overtime, and supplies.
  • Supervise activities to meet production demands, resource management, and evaluate when to replace or acquire resources.
  • Assess worker performance, addressing professional conduct and regulatory compliance, and make decisions on personnel actions like training, promotion, transfer, dismissal, or disciplinary measures.
Qualifications
  • Complete degree in Administration, Engineering, or Technology.
  • Mandatory experience in green sand, chemical sand, or resin sand molding processes.
  • Leadership experience in production teams.
  • Knowledge of molding process control, technical drawing interpretation, defect analysis, and safety procedures.
  • Experience with raw materials (sand, resin, catalysts, additives), quality standards (ISO 9001), basic equipment maintenance, and safety standards (NR-12, NR-33, NR-35).
  • Proficiency in Office, Power BI, and SAP.
  • Availability for second shift work.
