About the Role

The role involves managing the logistics supply chain scheduling and ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of copper cathodes, copper concentrate, and sulfuric acid from mine to ports or local customers, and vice versa. Responsibilities include generating export, regulatory, and sales documentation, and managing related transport contracts.

Main Accountabilities:

• Manage providers and service contracts for export logistics activities, including transportation, ports, warehousing, and surveyors.
• Supervise contractors' employees and the internal team for activities related to dispatching finished goods and sulfuric acid handling.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and local government requirements, including declarations and registration in Cochilco Portal.
• Prioritize safety and risk management to prevent incidents and disruptions.
• Set and monitor logistics budgets, aiming for cost reduction and productivity improvements.
• Coordinate with Operations, Planning, and Marketing to manage risks and safety topics.
• Integrate production planning into an optimized logistics plan for export operations.
• Manage scheduling of product quality and quantity for commercialization transfer points.
• Maintain relationships with governmental entities like Cochilco and Customs related to exports.
• Plan and execute sulfuric acid supply as a strategic input.
• Lead risk management for the logistics chain through operational continuity plans.
• Register movements within the supply chain using SAP.

About You

To excel in this role, you will need:

• A professional degree in Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in similar responsibilities, preferably in mining.
• Strong understanding of the supply chain from mine to port.
• Problem-solving skills in complex contexts.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as Laws 20,000 and 13,49.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Availability to work in Escondida mine site on a 4x3 shift with flexibility.
• Willingness to travel within the Antofagasta region for vendor management.
