About the Role:

The Role: Student Worker - Corporate Ratings Analyst (1 year contract)

The Team: Analytical team works with regional basis providing ratings mainly to corporate entities in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and other countries in South America.

The Impact: This role will provide direct support to the senior analyst in the team and will also provide assistance to the team in a global environment company.

Responsibilities:

  • Input issuer financial statements into standard model.
  • Perform extensive macroeconomics research, market data, industry-sector and company specific information.
  • News clipping and issuer’s relevant facts and notices to the market research.
  • Read quarterly results releases and financial statements and alert analyst on relevant issues.
  • Keep Ratings Document Repository (RDR) updated with last financial information provided by the companies.
  • Input issuer forecasts into projections models.
  • Assist analysts in rating committee presentations, research for articles and commentaries.
  • Attend rating committee as a listener.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in Economics, Business Administration, Finances, Engineering, IT or related field
  • Must have advanced English command (read, speak and write).
  • Sao Paulo Students available to have an “estágio” for 1.5-2 years and able to work 30 hours per week.
  • Advanced knowledge of excel is required.
  • Microsoft Office (advanced skills)
  • Detail-oriented person
  • Team player with ability to work without constant supervision.

Additional Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Spanish and Portuguese knowledge desirable
  • Previous work experience will be considered a plus.
  • Programming knowledge desirable
