Akaer is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Analysis Engineer in Brazil to support aerospace projects involving metallic and composite structures. The role focuses on static analysis, fatigue analysis, and damage tolerance evaluations to support development, certification, modifications, and in-service support.

The candidate will apply hand calculations and finite element methods, interpret technical requirements, and prepare technical reports.

Qualificações

• Degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in structural analysis.
• Experience with tools such as Nastran, Patran, FEMAP, HyperMesh, Abaqus, ANSYS, or similar.
• Experience with metallic and/or composite aircraft structures.
• Knowledge of static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance, structural margins, and certification documentation.
• Technical English for reading, report writing, and engineering communication.

Responsabilidades

• Perform static analysis of aircraft structures using hand calculations and/or finite element methods.
• Support fatigue and structural life assessments under technical guidance.
• Support damage tolerance evaluations, including crack growth assessment and inspection criteria.
• Prepare finite element models, loads, boundary conditions, and basic correlation activities.
• Prepare clear and traceable technical reports aligned with certification requirements.
• Interface with design, loads, materials, certification, manufacturing, and product support teams.

We are looking for a Mid-Level Structural Analysis Engineer to support aerospace and/or aeronautical engineering projects, with a focus on metallic and/or composite structures. The engineer will be responsible for performing static analysis, fatigue analysis, and damage tolerance evaluations to support product development, certification, modifications, and in-service support activities.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in structural calculations, interpretation of technical requirements, engineering drawings, finite element modeling, and technical report preparation. A solid understanding of strength of materials, structural mechanics, margins of safety, and structural substantiation methods is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform static analysis of aircraft structures using hand calculations and/or finite element methods.
• Support fatigue and structural life assessments under technical guidance.
• Support damage tolerance evaluations, including crack growth assessment and inspection criteria.
• Prepare finite element models, loads, boundary conditions, and basic correlation activities.
