The Opportunity

This position is based in our São Paulo location within the Established Pharmaceuticals Division.

As the Strategic Pricing Manager, you will analyze the impact of pricing and contract term decisions on deal and country profitability.

What You’ll Do :

  • Develop and implement pricing plans for the organization’s products to meet established targets.
  • Contribute to business planning by developing a pricing strategy aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and objectives.
  • Define objectives and allocate resources to ensure effective, economical, and appropriate pricing that is profitable for the company.
  • Adjust pricing strategies and plans in response to changing markets and competitive conditions.
  • Coordinate with other managers to ensure activities are integrated and aligned with overall corporate objectives.
  • Guide, monitor, analyze, and provide expertise on pricing and contract terms for acquisition opportunities.
  • Advise on deal pricing and contract terms for large and complex upcoming deals, utilizing the Pricing Recommendation Tool to ensure pricing integrity and build a comparables database.
  • Leverage past deal experiences to provide strategic expertise.
  • Analyze the impact of pricing and contract decisions on deal and country profitability.
  • Track compliance of current contracts, including price increases and adherence to commitments.
  • Provide insights and guidance to enhance country profitability initiatives.
  • Developing Pricing Strategies: Formulate and implement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research to understand pricing trends, competitor pricing, and market demand.
  • Financial Evaluation: Assess the financial impact of pricing decisions on overall profitability.
  • Negotiations: Support negotiations with customers and partners for favorable terms.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update pricing databases to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all pricing strategies comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on pricing strategies and outcomes for senior management.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously refine pricing processes to improve efficiency and market responsiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Pharmacy, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in pricing management roles is highly valued. Essential skills include data analysis, pharmaceutical market knowledge, and strong negotiation abilities.
