As a Staff Backend Software Engineer at Dynamic, you’ll take on a critical leadership role in building scalable, secure infrastructure that powers wallet-based applications across Web3 and fintech. You’ll help define our backend architecture, ensure best-in-class performance, and guide technical direction while remaining hands-on with implementation.
This role is perfect for a backend engineering expert who thrives on ownership and loves solving complex infrastructure challenges at scale. You’ll work with technologies like Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript, and collaborate across engineering, product, and security teams to ship reliable, production-ready systems.
The anticipated U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000–$220,000 for candidates located in the NY/Bay Area. In addition to base compensation, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package that includes equity and a competitive benefits program.
Actual base salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, required skills and experience, and your geographic location. Salary ranges are reviewed annually and may be adjusted based on market trends and internal equity. Offers are made within the applicable range at the time of hiring.
You have 7 to 10+ years of backend engineering experience, with a proven track record of designing and scaling large-scale systems
You’re highly proficient in Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript
You’ve led architecture decisions for production-grade APIs, especially for identity, authentication, or payment systems
You’re deeply familiar with authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT, etc.), encryption, key management, and access control
You’ve built systems that prioritize security, scalability, and maintainability
You’ve mentored other engineers, led cross-functional projects, and helped establish engineering best practices
You care about clean code, rigorous testing, and robust documentation
2 to 3 years of experience building in the Web3 space for a notable Web3 company
You’re excited about Web3 and fintech, and want to work on infrastructure used by millions of users
You are located close to NYC, SF, Chicago, or Floripa (Brazil)
Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend systems and APIs for wallet and identity infrastructure
Architect and enforce secure systems that meet best practices in cryptography, key management, and access control
Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver seamless, secure user experiences
Identify performance bottlenecks and implement improvements to infrastructure and codebases
Influence long-term technical strategy and roadmap for backend services
Provide mentorship and code reviews to help raise the bar across the engineering team
