Qualificações

  • 5+ anos de experiência em conformidade fiscal - impostos diretos e indiretos.

Responsabilidades

  • Preparar cálculos mensais de impostos federais e municipais.
  • Reconciliar contas fiscais mensalmente.
  • Analisar dados financeiros e relatar renda tributável precisa.

About the role

GSS Tax South America is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to perform the following:
  • Prepare monthly federal and municipal tax calculation and ancillary obligations (Income Tax, Social Contribution, PIS/COFINS and ISS).
  • Reconcile tax accounts monthly. Document and support deferred tax balances.
  • Respond to inquiries from local authorities in an accurate and timely manner by thorough analysis and communication
  • Support Tax Manager on studies about tax opportunities and process improvement
  • Analyze financial data, calculate proper adjustments, and report accurate taxable income on parent company and subsidiary federal and tax returns in accordance with federal and municipal tax laws
  • Solve and scale problems effectively, demonstrating a consistent track record
  • The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for documentation and support ad hoc tax projects
  • Hybrid work (3 days at the office per week)

About you

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Law or related
  • MBA/Post Graduation will be a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience working with Tax Compliance - direct and indirect taxes
  • Desirable previous experience in one of the “Big4” companies.
  • Understanding of Brazilian tax laws and IFRS applicable to corporations
  • Experience with SAP/Oracle (or equivalent ERP system)
  • Analytical and detail oriented, must bring a process improvement mindset
  • Knowledge and experience with direct and indirect taxes calculation and ancillary obligations
  • Desirable some degree of international tax experience and understanding of local import/export services in different scenarios of taxation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Native in Portuguese (mandatory); Spanish skills is a plus
  • Positive attitude and solution-oriented; Constructive Teamwork
  • Adheres to company rules and procedures; executes plans with commitment and determination
  • Self-driven with teamwork spirit and interpersonal skills, take personal responsibility or ongoing professional development
  • Ability to build strong relationships both within and outside of tax department as well as effectively communicating financial information to non-finance colleagues.
  • Logical and planned approach to project work, possessing strong tax, accounting and reporting skills.
  • Digital Native – deep knowledge in Office Package, in special Excel (index matching, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) and MS Forms;
  • Data management and analysis (incl. tools like Power BI) and Story telling (Data advisory) is a plus
  • Able to work in an environment with volatile demands (compliance routines, recurring meetings and new projects) and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability also understands the need for and embraces change.
