GSS Tax South America is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to perform the following responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly federal and municipal tax calculations and ancillary obligations (Income Tax, Social Contribution, PIS/COFINS, and ISS).
- Reconcile tax accounts monthly, document, and support deferred tax balances.
- Respond to inquiries from local authorities accurately and promptly through thorough analysis and communication.
- Support the Tax Manager on studies related to tax opportunities and process improvements.
- Analyze financial data, calculate appropriate adjustments, and report accurate taxable income for the parent company and subsidiaries' federal and municipal tax returns in compliance with applicable laws.
- Effectively solve and scale problems, demonstrating a consistent track record.
- Handle documentation and support ad hoc tax projects.
- This role offers a hybrid work model (3 days at the office per week).

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Law, or related fields.
- MBA or Postgraduate degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Tax Compliance, covering both direct and indirect taxes.
- Previous experience in one of the “Big4” firms is desirable.
- Knowledge of Brazilian tax laws and IFRS applicable to corporations.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, with a mindset for process improvement.
- Expertise in calculating direct and indirect taxes and understanding ancillary obligations.
- Some international tax experience and understanding of local import/export scenarios are advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese (native); Spanish is a plus.
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude and effective teamwork skills.
- Adherence to company policies, committed to executing plans.
- Self-driven with a collaborative spirit, responsible for ongoing professional development.
- Ability to build strong relationships within and outside the tax department and communicate financial information effectively to non-finance colleagues.
- Structured approach to work, with strong tax, accounting, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables), and familiarity with MS Forms.
- Experience with data management and analysis tools like Power BI and data storytelling is a plus.
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and changing demands.
- Ownership, accountability, and adaptability to change.
