Join to apply for the Sr. Systems Engineer role at Transaction Network Services (TNS).

This position involves planning, maintaining, troubleshooting, and designing telecom applications and services within TNS's Communications division. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with Development, QA, Product Management, Network Operations, and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, administer, troubleshoot, and assist in designing high availability systems and services in production and lab/test environments.
• Analyze and resolve complex interoperability issues.
• Integrate applications, systems, and services with enterprise monitoring tools.
• Develop KPIs and system metrics for capacity planning, performance management, and monitoring.
• Manage daily operations of carrier-grade systems.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• 10+ years of IT engineering experience.
• Extensive experience with Linux-based production platforms.
• Deep understanding of systems and IP networking for distributed platforms.
• Solid experience with AWS solutions and cloud architectures.
• Experience with monitoring and analytics tools (e.g., Nagios, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Ability to initiate and complete projects with minimal guidance.
• Strong multitasking and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving and incident management skills.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Perl, Python, or similar.
• Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Rotational after-hours on-call support is required.
• Experience with telecom applications or signaling networks is a plus.
