Provides engineering solutions in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures, processes, schedules, and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction.
Job Description
- Works in a global engineering team to support and improve operations, manufacturing, tendering, and the quality and reliability of subsea drilling products;
- Executes engineering improvement work to reduce/eliminate problem recurrence and downtime events;
- Supports the SDS lead engineers for tendering and field support;
- Creates, reviews and approves designs, drawings, part reports, specifications, and procedures. Ensures that products meet specifications, standards, and performance requirements within area of expertise;
- Engages with the entire value stream to ensure effective cost, manufacturing, and operation;
- Maintains personal schedule of project and communicates updates with key internal and external stakeholders.
You are meant for this job if:
- Degree in Engineering Mechanical or related field
- CREA
- Advanced English
- Drilling related experience preferred;
- Focus on detailed mechanical design and offshore operations (i.e., subsea running tools, pressure vessels, metal and elastomer seals) with a sound understanding of engineering practices, design methods & calculations;
- Able to read, interpret and prepare technical designs and documentation;
- Experience with modeling software such as AutoCAD, NX;
- Able to work with a global team to solve and implement complex solutions into an existing product line.
- Driving technical scopes including interface with other disciplines and drafting activities.
- Working knowledge of API 6A/17D is preferred.
- Enthusiasm for seeking improvements and challenging existing methods;
- Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) methods, when to apply FEA, and ability to interpret results. Ability to perform FEA preferred, but not required.
- Experience with ANSYS, PowerBI, and Parsable preferred
