A leading company in the oil and gas sector is seeking a Controls Engineer for its manufacturing plant in Rio de Janeiro. The successful candidate will ensure the execution of controls engineering in subsea projects, managing documentation, and interfacing with clients. Candidates should hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and have knowledge of subsea production systems and standards.

Qualificações

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Control and Automation.
• Postgraduate degree in related fields is a differential.
• Experience in the oil and gas sector is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Execute controls engineering in projects and define functional requirements.
• Review assembly, test, and qualification documentation.
• Manage project activities and interface with clients.

Job Description

• Responsible for executing controls engineering in projects, defining and ensuring functional requirements to be delivered in the same.
• Review and approval of equipment specifications for electrical, optical, hydraulic control systems, as well as subsea distribution systems.
• Review and approval of assembly and test documentation for the aforementioned equipment.
• Review and approval of qualification documentation for the aforementioned equipment.
• Participation in Design Review meetings, ensuring that the Client's requirements and quality/good practices are met.
• Approval of electrical/optical/hydraulic schematics for systems and subsystems.
• Management of project activities as well as creation of sub-activities.
• Constant interface with the Client in follow-up meetings, as well as presentation of deliverable documents for the Client.
• Ensuring the correct interface of control system equipment both with each other and with other equipment, for example in the Christmas tree and manifolds.
• Support for future project proposals.
• Support for planning, procurement, project management, industrial engineering and quality groups.

You are meant for this job if:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Control and Automationand related fields.
• Differential: Postgraduate degree in Petroleum Engineering, Subsea Production Systems, Control and Automation.
• Knowledge of subsea production systems, preferably control systems.
• Knowledge of international standards related to subsea control systems (API7F, API6A, etc.)
• Knowledge of risk matrix and risk assessment capabilities.
• Advantage: Having worked in the oil and gas sector, with experience with different scopes within control systems in a subsea project (e.g. control and automation cabin, HPU, electrical and hydraulic distribution systems, subsea controller, etc.).
• Advanced English.
• Intermediate Office package
