Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in the success of a rapidly growing company. Your responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable systems that support our financial services, ensuring seamless operations and an excellent user experience. In a competitive industry, you will drive innovation by implementing secure, reliable, and cutting-edge solutions to meet evolving customer needs.

• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code following best software development practices.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Propose initial technical implementations that support architectural changes addressing scaling and performance issues.
• Work with version control using GitHub, resolve conflicts, and automate continuous integration processes.
• Create and maintain software documentation.

• Academic background in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
• Hands-on engineering experience.
• Experience dealing with medium-complexity domains.
• Understanding of web application security, session management, and best practices.
• Knowledge of relational databases and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design; Microservice Architecture is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master web technologies.
• Proven experience designing high-performance, scalable, and reliable distributed applications.
• Development experience with Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and AWS.
• Experience with asynchronous programming.
• Experience profiling and performance tuning Java applications, and monitoring tools for production.
• Practical experience applying AI frameworks in projects.

Industry-Specific Knowledge

Familiarity with core financial domains such as lending, payments, credit cards, open finance, fraud prevention, merchant acquiring, or investment services is desirable. Understanding their workflows and business drivers, and applying this knowledge to deliver solutions like real-time decisioning engines, scalable payment platforms, secure open-finance interfaces, fraud detection pipelines, or financial reporting engines, is highly valued. The ability to translate compliance mandates (e.g., KYC/AML, PCI-DSS, GDPR) into resilient, high-performance systems is a strong asset.
