GET TO KNOW OUR AREA:

The Corporate Team, which is part of the Law, Patents & Compliance department at Bayer, is responsible for managing and ensuring the maintenance of local corporate governance and routine, including all companies from the group.

We act as Business Partners (BPs) focused on providing compliance and data privacy guidance on relevant topics, also labor law consulting and strategic contracts, attending and working with all business units and has interface with several other departments and different stakeholders, locally and globally.

The team also plays an important role in ensuring strategic legal support for projects, working totally in a fully integrated manner with Business Units and global functions, in order to jointly define the most appropriate strategies considering both, the business and legal perspective.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

• Actively participating in external and internal meetings with other members of the legal department and other areas of the company, including regional and global teams.
• Providing expert guidance and advice on all legal matters and litigation related to Compliance, Data Privacy, Corporate Agreements, Labor and other strategic matters.
• Acting in the Compliance area, participating in risk assessments, supporting audits and investigation and participating in the development, review and implementation of compliance policies and programs, with an emphasis on corporate integrity.
• Legal support on issues related to the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), with a focus on implementing good practices, privacy impact analysis (DPIA), contractual review and information security incidents.
• Strategic work in consultative employment law, focusing on people management processes and contracts in line with Bayer's employment legislation and organizational culture.
• Drafting, analyzing and negotiating complex corporate contracts, with special attention to mitigating legal risks and adhering to the company's global guidelines.
• Participation in interdisciplinary projects with areas such as HR, IT, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Internal Audit, among others.
• Actively participating in external and internal meetings with other members of the legal department and other areas of the company, including regional and global teams.
  
  

ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?

Must have:

• Holder of Law Degree, registered with the local Bar Association and with professional experience.
• Extensive experience in implementing and coordinating Compliance programs.
• Extensive experience in the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and related legislation and experience in implementing and coordinating Data Privacy programs.
• Solid knowledge and consulting experience in Labor Law and strategic litigation management.
• Experience in negotiating and drafting national and international contracts.
• Fluent use of English as a business language, including legal terms.
• Availability to work in São Paulo (hybrid).
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience in dealing as a Business Partner of the company's business areas.
• Ability to conduct complex negotiations, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to proactively advise the supported company on complex issues, including legal implications of the business strategy, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to appropriately manage the work of external lawyers, as well as other external suppliers and/or consultants.
• Solid time management, prioritization and organizational skills.
• Ability to actively and constructively deal with conflicts between business and legal issues.
• Good networking capabilities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of issues in the industry in which the relevant business operates.
