- To develop and execute programs and policies designed to assess and promote safety awareness in order to correct problems and deficiencies to achieve an accident-free work environment; conducts educational programs designed to enhance safety awareness; selects relevant topics and materials based on assessment of needs, provides feedback to people about health and safety conditions and procedures, and is responsible for instructing and orientating verbally and/or in writing disciplinary warnings if a risky situation is identified.
- Conducts safety and security audits, procedures, and inspections within the plant, evaluating the results and developing action plans to correct any identified risky situations; monitors activities undertaken by contractors and third-party providers, ensuring they follow all safety and hygiene procedures according to local legislation and contractual service delivery conditions. This position is also responsible for ensuring proper inspections for all emergency equipment.
- Ensures evaluation of environmental conditions of work such as temperature, air quality, pest control, etc., providing technical expertise to support the planning and effective organization of a healthy and safe work environment for employees and visitors. This position also represents Mary Kay Brazil in all health and safety technical aspects, providing all information required by governmental entities.
- Works closely with leadership to set appropriate goals and objectives related to safety; develops and performs presentations of all EHS & PS aspects.
- Designs and updates monitoring schemes and procedures to ensure proper control of image recording through the CCTV system; requires and analyzes documentation from third-party providers/contracts, keeping control of those while ensuring that only compliant providers may offer services in Mary Kay Brazil domains.
- Supports the establishment and maintenance of the budgeting process for all EHS, PS, and Facilities aspects, recommending initiatives while also keeping control of expenses.
- Ensures the deliverables for all CIPA and Brigada de Incêndio (VPP) initiatives, such as electoral processes, training members, and meetings.
- Provides support to environmental activities by offering guidance regarding the treatment and disposal of industrial waste, participating in environmental/sustainability committees and forums, etc.
- Coordinates purchasing and maintains controls of protective equipment delivered to employees, contractors, and visitors, and is also able to evaluate the conditions of those items if necessary.
- Coordinates planning, execution, and control over maintenance and facilities aspects, conducting projects and processes in line with the Company’s expectations; supervises third-party vendors on daily routines, processes, and presents KPIs for the leadership; recommends initiatives and implements corrective/countermeasures actions whenever necessary.
