Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to act as a strategic technical partner in the design and implementation of data-driven solutions, with a focus on extracting insights, identifying root causes, and uncovering opportunities through analytical techniques. This role supports regulatory and compliance initiatives, ensuring data reliability, traceability, and accessibility for decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines data engineering foundations with advanced analytical skills in SQL, Python, Databricks, and Redshift, and can deliver insights through compelling visual storytelling using BI tools like Qlik Sense.

• Develop analytical data models for insight generation, anomaly detection, and business monitoring;
• Apply modeling techniques such as Star Schema, normalized (3NF), denormalized, and domain-oriented models to optimize performance and traceability;
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business questions into metrics, KPIs, and data products;
• Apply statistical techniques to identify patterns, outliers, root causes, and opportunities in operational and financial data;
• Build exploratory datasets and prototypes to validate hypotheses and surface insights;
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams to execute analyses aligned with regulatory goals;
• Build dashboards and analytics products with Qlik Sense, including set analysis and advanced expressions;
• Standardize KPI frameworks, apply visual best practices, and communicate findings effectively;
• Deliver dashboards for executive and operational stakeholders, ensuring usability and impact;
• Design and maintain scalable batch and streaming pipelines using Databricks (PySpark) and Airflow;
• Implement modular transformations with version control (Git) and observability;
• Simplify technical complexity to enable self-service access and empower analysts;
• Support and optimize analytical environments like Redshift, Delta Lake, and Databricks;
• Contribute to data architecture for discoverability, lineage, and cost efficiency;
• Maintain bronze/silver/gold data layers with quality validations;
• Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory standards;
• Develop and maintain audit-ready data assets in partnership with Risk and Compliance teams.

Requirements

• Advanced SQL skills with experience in Redshift and Databricks;
• Knowledge of Delta Lake features (ACID, time travel, etc.);
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and transformation;
• Experience in financial services, risk analytics, compliance, or regulated environments;
• Familiarity with AWS services (preferred);
• Fluency in English or Spanish (preferred);
• Experience in highly regulated industries like banking, insurance, or fintech (preferred).
