Specialized Inspector

JOB DESCRIPTION

NOV BR is looking for a Specialized Inspector who is qualified on Magnetic Particle Inspection (Abendi - PM-N2-S-Y), Liquid Penetrant Inspection (Abendi - LP-N2-G) and Ultrasonic Inspection (Abendi - US-N2-S2 or S2.1), to perform NDE on NOV equipment, ensuring adequate customer service.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform national, international, onshore and offshore services, when necessary;
2. Collect all technical information and documents (drawings, manuals, databooks and procedures) necessary to perform the assigned task;
3. Update management about the work being performed, aiming to update the information necessary for the continuation of the activities;
4. Perform NDE inspection on flanged riser joints, based on NOV procedures, with Visual Inspection, Dimensional Inspection, Liquid Penetrant (LPI), Magnetic Particle (MPI) and Ultrasonic inspections;
5. Disassemble/assemble equipment based on technical drawings, ensuring knowledge of the mounting mode and certifying that they are within NOV standards;
6. Check the wear in critical areas of the equipment through the measuring instruments, observing replacement or absence of replacement of parts, as well as possible repairs (internal/external);
7. Perform buffing and polishing of various flanged riser parts;
8. Research and introduce new ways of performing maintenance work, aiming to improve the quality of services provided;
9. Perform visual inspection of the equipment, notifying in a report the state of conservation and operation of equipment, seeking to identify repair needs;
10. Identify and analyze problem situations, technically researching an alternative to their solution, ensuring proper operation and longer equipment life;
11. Identify and list the parts required for maintenance;
12. Perform the tasks to be performed through knowledge of the action plan for the completion of the service, based on quality and deadline;
13. Assist the Supervision/Management in administrative activities when necessary.

Qualifications:

1. Technical degree;
2. Good computer knowledge;
3. Intermediate English skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking);
4. Availability to travel and perform activities onshore and offshore.
