The Job

The SOX Manager ensures LBNE compliance with all internal System of Authority protocols, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and documentation processes. Responsibilities include overseeing compliance activities, managing third-party verifications, coordinating the approval process, and supporting audits. The Manager acts as a liaison between departments and auditors, maintaining and reporting compliance standards effectively.

What This Role Will Do
SOX Compliance and Documentation:
  • Develop, implement, and oversee processes to ensure SOX adherence.
  • Maintain and update all SOX-related documentation, including controls and risk matrices.
  • Monitor compliance with the company's System of Authority protocols.
Third-Party Verifications:
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party compliance verifications.
  • Ensure timely completion and accurate record-keeping for audits.
Comp List Approval Process:
  • Manage and maintain the approval process, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
  • Resolve discrepancies or issues in workflows.
Audit Coordination:
  • Prepare for audits with internal teams, ensuring documentation readiness.
  • Serve as the main contact for external auditors.
  • Address findings and implement corrective actions.
Compliance Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Review compliance activities regularly to identify risks or gaps.
  • Generate and present detailed reports to leadership.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in cross-functional projects supporting company priorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What This Person Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • CPA, CIA, or CISA certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in SOX compliance, controls, or auditing roles.
  • Experience with internal and external auditors.
  • Strong knowledge of SOX, COSO, and compliance best practices.
Required Skills:
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of SOX, risk assessment, and compliance standards.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to evaluate complex processes and risks.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for liaising with auditors and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and audits.
  • Detail-Oriented: Precision in documentation and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in addressing compliance issues.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with audit software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Language Skills: Full fluency in English.
Other Requirements:
  • Reside in São Paulo, Brazil. No relocation allowance provided.
