SSI Direct Sales is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for its Southeast region, to drive further growth of our aftermarket business by developing strategic initiatives that correlate with the demands of the direct sale sports equipment market.

Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to:

  • This is a hunter role requiring frequent travel throughout the Southeast (50%).
  • Candidates must reside in the Southeast territory for the duration of employment.
  • Proactively develop and maintain customer relationships with targeted end-users, including but not limited to Athletic Directors, Coaches, and Facility Managers of School Districts and Institutions of Higher Learning.
  • Achieve regional sales objectives by identifying and securing relevant sales opportunities, providing exceptional hands-on customer service, resolving issues, identifying trends, and collaborating with internal teams.
  • Conduct market research, analyze competitors, and attend regional and national trade shows to gain industry insights.
  • Develop expertise across all relevant product groups, including knowledge of sports regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other sales divisions, such as New Construction and Large Venue Sales, to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Manage the entire sales process, including opportunity identification, quote generation, customer follow-up, order entry, production scheduling, delivery logistics, and post-delivery service.
  • Develop a keen understanding of Cooperative Purchasing via KPN (Keystone Purchasing Network) and incorporate it as a key element within the overall direct sales strategy.
  • Company car provided.

Required Qualifications

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build a rapport with customers.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid organizational/prioritization skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
  • General computer proficiency.
  • Flexible schedule when required.

Experience/Education:
• Bachelor’s degree and prior sales experience, preferably in an athletic environment.

Location:

  • Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Southeast and reside there for the duration of their employment as Southeast Regional Sales Manager.

Salary Range: $65-70k/annually with commission and bonus opportunities. The salary range represents the minimum range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications and internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total benefit/rewards package. Other components include but not limited to, health, dental, vision, short-term disability, life insurance, PTO, retirement plan with company match, paid holidays, fitness reimbursement, growth opportunities and many more.
