A leading company in food safety is looking for a professional to assist in substance mapping and data review within IT implementation projects. The role involves ensuring data accuracy, supporting project phases, and engaging with stakeholders to align requirements. Ideal candidates will have a strong scientific background, excellent attention to detail, and skills in data analysis and communication.
Substance Mapping and Data Review for FoodChain ID product IT implementation projects such as:
· Review client-provided substance/ingredient data and perform mappings to FoodChain ID’s regulatory and chemical database using industry identifiers (CAS, FEMA, etc.).
· Ensure data accuracy and consistency by cross-referencing information from regulatory agencies and scientific references.
· Assist in validating and cleaning data to support consistency and accuracy.
· Collaborate with Data Quality teams on accuracy
· Contribute to product implementation projects through the delivery phases.
· Provide project functional support for the following:
· Requirement collection and documentation using the existing framework and documents.
· Testing execution and documentation
· Assist in developing and maintaining data documentation and standard operating procedures.
· Proactively engage with stakeholders at all levels throughout the implementation process to analyze the customers’ needs and alignment with requirements.
· Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
· Strong understanding of chemical naming, understanding chemical structures, classification, and identifiers (e.g., CAS, EINEC, ELINCS numbers).
· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Comfortable working with structured data and spreadsheets (Excel proficiency required).
· Effective written and verbal communication skills, especially in documenting work clearly.
· Up to 25% travel required
· Beneficial:
· Internship or academic project experience with data analysis or regulatory systems a plus.
· Familiarity with MS Access and data analysis techniques a plus.
· Experience with Process Manufacturing industries.
· Exposure to PLM, LIMS, ERP, or regulatory systems is advantageous but not required.
