We assist our clients with cloud adoption, architecture, migration, optimization, machine learning, and 24/7 support. We are a professional services firm specializing in software engineering and cloud solutions, including technical consulting, programming, QA, DevOps, application development, UX, product, and project management.

Metal Toad operates fully remotely, allowing team members to work from home. For this position, the candidate must be available to work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time (PST).

We are currently seeking contractors residing in Brazil for this role. Compensation will be paid in Brazilian Reais (R$), in accordance with local currency laws. Due to legal restrictions, we cannot sponsor visas.

The React Software Engineer at Metal Toad builds high-performing, scalable enterprise applications. You will join a talented team working on mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

Planning

• Review program objectives, input data, and output requirements with project managers, supervisors, and clients to confirm project requirements.
• Provide estimates based on requirements, wireframes, and designs.

Development

• Proactively communicate risks, issues, and changelogs to ensure project success.
• Participate in all development lifecycle phases.
• Follow best coding practices.
• Value well-tested code and perform peer reviews.
• Create defect-free projects.
• Maintain respectful and positive interactions.

Expertise

• Research new libraries, techniques, and ideas.
• Support local community events and initiatives.
• Publish technical blog posts.
• Take ownership of tasks and seek opportunities to add value.
