ERM is looking for a consultant to join our Human Rights Team in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre or Salvador.

Working under the direction of program managers and partners, the successful candidate will work on projects in different regions of the country, with increasing responsibility for task/project management functions. This is a great opportunity to work with ERM's technical experts to engage on human rights due diligence projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize information and analyze complex situations;

  • Elaborate and revise of technical reports (Portuguese and English);

  • Dynamically conduct several projects at the same time;

  • Maintain good relationships and communication with stakeholders;

  • Ensure quality delivery;

  • Build good relationships with staff, direct leadership and clients;

  • Conduct field surveys;

  • Elaborate diagnoses through primary and secondary data;

  • Conduct assessment of human rights impacts;

  • Development of actions plans to prevent and mitigate risks;

  • Conduct gap assessment against human rights due diligence standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Professionals with training in the field of law, business (business administration, economics, engineering) or social sciences (geography, sociology, anthropology, etc.) or with at least 8 years of training;

  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills;

  • Strong commitment to safety and to follow established ERM Health and Safety protocols;

  • Ability to succeed in a consulting pace, handling multiple project assignments, and maintaining flexibility, while meeting strict deadlines;

  • Availability to travel;

  • Experience in human rights due diligence work such as risk assessment, impact assessment, gap analysis, supply chain due diligence;

  • Experience with the UNPGs and related standards and regulations;

  • Fluent English (speaking and writting) and communication skills.
