Responsibilities

1. Lead and mentor a team of SREs across India, LATAM, and Europe.
2. Drive production support practices and incident resolution efforts.
3. Act as the technical point of contact for cross-regional team cohesion.
4. Oversee infrastructure as code and automation using Terraform.
5. Design and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
6. Manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
7. Own observability strategies using tools like New Relic, Wavefront, etc.
8. Coordinate VPN tunneling and SFTP setup for EHR integrations.
9. Provide technical guidance for customer issue resolution (2–3/month).
10. Support training and documentation on internal tools and EHR tasks.
11. Ensure infrastructure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and security protocols.
12. Collaborate with DevOps, IT Security, and Engineering teams.
13. Contribute to migrating from legacy tools to GitLab.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• Experience leading distributed teams.
• Deep knowledge of AWS, Terraform, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Experience with VPN tunnels, SFTP, and cloud networking.
• Strong incident management and observability skills.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to coordinate across time zones.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR compliance.
• Ability to mentor junior team members.
• Experience driving automation and process improvements.
• Work schedule aligns with Panama time zone, including on-call duties 2–3 days/week, every other weekend.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Mirth and IRIS EHR systems.
• Familiarity with Bitbucket, Codefresh, Ansible.
• Healthcare or medical device environment experience.
• Understanding of high-availability infrastructure patterns.
