AgileEngine is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes) to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private clouds. You will focus on automation, tooling, and incident management to maintain a highly available service.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years Kubernetes production experience, strong Linux skills, and familiarity with Azure or AWS. Flexible with remote/office options, you will join a people-first culture with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with a public cloud provider, preferably Azure or AWS.
• Confident debugging and troubleshooting complex systems from application to infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Kubernetes-based platform across public and private clouds.
• Work with observability tooling to ensure actionable alerts with up-to-date runbooks and docs.
• Manage incidents end-to-end including incident response, RCA, and post-incident reviews.
• Onboard and support new clients onto the platform.
• Build automation and diagnostic tooling to reduce manual effort and improve performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements in platform operations.
• Support software and hardware upgrades and keep components up to date.
• Proactively manage capacity to scale the platform with demand.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to operate and improve a Kubernetes-based API platform across public and private cloud environments, including automation, tooling, and incident management.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production, ideally with Service Mesh.
• Strong Linux and command line fundamentals.
• Confident debugging and troubleshooting complex systems, from the application layer through to lower-level infrastructure.
• Experience working with a public cloud provider, preferably Azure or AWS.

NICE TO HAVES

• Working knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, Loki and Tempo is a plus.
• Scripting or coding in Python or Java is a strong plus.
• CI/CD, infrastructure as code such as Helm or Terraform is a plus.
• Financial services background is not required.
