We are looking for a Services Engineer experienced in scalable, high-availability backend systems to architect, develop, and maintain the online infrastructure powering our games. You’ll build secure, performant, and resilient services that support matchmaking, player data, live ops, and multiplayer experiences—ensuring seamless connectivity and stability for players worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Write robust and reliable core backend services that scale gracefully while being easy to understand and operate.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience developing backend services and operating them at scale
• Expertise with one or more server-side development languages: Java/Kotlin (preferably JVM), C#, Golang
• Strong understanding of scaling distributed online systems and their impact on player experience
• Experience with technologies such as caching, load balancing, database schema design, concurrency techniques, microservice architecture

Desired Experience

• Knowledge of web protocols like Protobuf, Websockets, HTTPS
• Building fault-tolerant distributed systems with security best practices
• Experience with Linux-based operating systems
• Ability to integrate backend code with Unreal Engine (UE5 or UE4) for online services
• Understanding of how backend code influences the overall player experience
• Experience building game services
