We are now looking for a Service Technician (4 Stroke) to join our Field Service of Marine team around the world working for a better future, with the preferred location in Niterói, Barreto, Brazil.

Main responsibilities:

1. Perform overhauls and repairs on 4-stroke medium-speed engines. Interact professionally with customers during work execution.
2. Perform internal and external progress status updates of the assigned work.
3. Assist in creating the Service Work Reports.
4. Ensure work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
5. Follow-up and report on the status of work orders to customers and/or internal stakeholders.
6. Continuously seek solutions according to best practices.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A safety-first mindset.
• A passion for developing your 4-stroke engine knowledge.
• A technical degree in a relevant field (mechanics, automation, naval, or others).
• A completed or in-progress Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus.
• English proficiency at an intermediate or advanced level.
• Technical experience in reciprocating engine repair and overhaul with practical problem-solving skills.
• Experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems, and cooling systems.
• Professional interaction and solution delivery to customers during work execution.
• Experience with 4-stroke engines, preferably low and medium speed.
• Experience working with electrical systems is a plus.
