An established industry player is seeking a dedicated individual to contribute to the success of their Lending Services team. This role involves ensuring operational effectiveness and compliance while championing a client-driven culture. You'll be responsible for executing lending product fulfillment, managing client inquiries, and collaborating with various business units. Purpose of Job

Contributes to the success of the Lending Services business unit by ensuring that individual goals, plans, initiatives, and tasks support the team’s strategies and objectives. Ensures activities are conducted with high accuracy, adhering to regulations, policies, and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
  • Champion a client-driven culture to deepen relationships and leverage broader Bank connections, systems, and knowledge.
  • Prepare and execute complex security and Business Banking documents to meet Bank policies, supporting the onboarding, maintenance, amendments, and service activities of lending products and services, including coordinating with lawyers, appraisers, and other contacts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant Commercial and Small Business products, processes, and policies through training and industry updates.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and business lines to resolve issues, eliminate roadblocks, reduce costs, and improve services.
  • Respond promptly to service inquiries, concerns, and complaints from Banking partners by:

➢ Resolving servicing issues to minimize business and client impact with managerial guidance as needed.

➢ Analyzing situations, providing sound recommendations, and escalating when necessary.

➢ Facilitating decision-making with timely and relevant data.

  • Understand and consider the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
  • Contribute to the overall Pulse Score by enhancing the customer experience.
  • Ensure operational effectiveness and compliance with risk, regulatory, AML/ATF, and conduct standards, including adherence to relevant frameworks and codes of conduct.
  • Promote a high-performance, inclusive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What you will be doing?
  • Independently execute the fulfillment and maintenance of Commercial and Small Business lending products and services within authorized limits.
  • Review, assess, and process high volumes of standard and non-standard credit, service, and support transactions.
  • Handle deal processing, with size and limits varying by segment and task.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing timely resolutions to clients and partners regarding products, services, tools, systems, and procedures.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and performance issues, reporting these through appropriate channels.
  • Manage client and partner inquiries, concerns, or complaints, offering solutions or alternatives.
  • Support various Business Units including Commercial Banking, Small Business, Risk Management, Payments & Cash Management, and others.
  • Provide national coverage during operating hours (7 a.m. – 8 p.m. EST), with possible shift variations.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing operational efficiencies and participate in cross-training to expand skillsets.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
  • Post-secondary education.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Commercial or Small Business banking within Financial Services or related industry.
  • Proven customer service skills and adaptability to change.
  • Knowledge of Business Banking credit policies, products, services, and collateral documentation.
  • Experience with onboarding accounts, products, services, and loans/funding.
  • Fluency in English and French (written and verbal), with strong organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and French, working closely with teams and clients primarily in these languages.
