The position and your daily adventures

As a Senior Web Engineer at Klar, you’ll be part of a fast-moving, product-driven team shaping the future of digital finance in Mexico. You’ll play a key role in crafting fast, responsive and reliable web experiences using React and modern web technologies.

Your days will include collaborating with team members, back-end engineers, and product managers to deliver features that improve internal tools used by hundreds of users that give support to all our customers.

You’ll develop new features for our back office applications, author and review pull requests, and be part of shaping engineering decisions that have real impact on millions of users. This is a full-time, remote role with teammates across Mexico, Berlin, and Argentina — so asynchronous collaboration and clear communication are part of the daily rhythm.

What you can expect:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React.js library.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Take ownership of front-end feature development — from planning to production.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code with performance and accessibility in mind.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security.
• Proactively identify areas of improvement in the frontend architecture and help drive technical initiatives.
  
  

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of professional experience building web applications in modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Deep experience with React.js and modern features (hooks, context, portals, Suspense). Strong understanding of component design patterns and state management in React (e.g. Redux, Zustand, RTK).
• Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and frontend testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.).
• Strong understanding of browser performance, web vitals, web accessibility (WCAG), and responsive design.
• Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).
