As a Video Editor Senior Associate, you will play a key role in capturing, editing, and adapting video content for social media and retail media channels across various relevant and well-established brands. You’ll collaborate closely with the Organic Social, Design, and Copywriting teams to bring creative concepts to life, following platform best practices and strategic goals.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. Strong communication skills, creativity, and attention to detail are essential, as well as the ability to manage feedback loops, meet deadlines, and contribute to content that drives engagement and performance. Experience with client-facing presentations and a deep understanding of content across the sales funnel are highly valued.
What You'll Do Here
- Edit and adapt video assets to fit various social media formats (vertical, square, horizontal) and meet platform-specific requirements (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
- Customize video content for digital retail media platforms (e.g., Amazon, Mercado Livre, Shopee), ensuring alignment with different stages of the sales funnel.
- Oversee pre-production for social and retail content, including product analysis, collaboration with design, copy, and social teams, script development, scheduling, and materials preparation.
- Lead on-site video productions by managing equipment and set design, directing talent when needed, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals and production quality standards.
- Collaborate with creative teams to align video executions with brand guidelines and broader campaign objectives.
- Participate in ideation sessions to contribute innovative concepts that enhance engagement and drive sales.
- Offer technical support and mentorship to other video team members.
- Assist the Creative Manager in defining video team workflows, setting ETAs, and improving production processes.
- Liaise with account managers and clients to gather project requirements, present ideas, and incorporate feedback constructively and efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date with trends in visual storytelling, creative direction, digital marketing, content creation, and e-commerce to craft video content that is engaging, innovative and conversion-oriented.
- Continuously explore new editing tools, techniques, and platform-specific formats to ensure technical excellence and relevance.
- Ensure proper file management, including organization, archiving, and version control of video assets.
- Deliver high-quality projects on time while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
We Need a Person With
- Intermediate or higher English proficiency, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in meetings.
- Solid experience in video editing and motion design, with a strong portfolio to showcase your work.
- Proficiency in audiovisual software such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and CapCut.
- Knowledge of color grading, sound design, and audio mixing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload independently with effective time management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to build trust with internal stakeholders through active listening and clear communication.
- Highly organized, creative, and a true team player.
- Proficient in Google Workspace tools (Sheets, Slides, and Docs), with experience in preparing and presenting client-facing materials.
- Strong external communication and presentation skills are essential.
- Comfortable adapting to shifting priorities, new directions, or last-minute client feedback.
- Able to work with limited assets from clients and apply critical thinking to deliver high-quality content.
- Understanding of brand safety, usage rights, and asset management best practices.
What We Consider As a Plus
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Previous work experience in advertising agencies.
- Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance video editing processes, optimize workflows, and create innovative and dynamic content.
- Previous experience mentoring or managing junior video editors or freelancers.
- Familiarity with e-commerce and retail media content dynamics, including product-centric storytelling.
- Experience directing or co-directing video shoots, especially in fast-paced or resource-constrained environment.
