About the Client

The company provides pharmaceutical and academic researchers with data that aids in identifying and curing diseases. The customer’s platform brings together the best in engineering, scientific intelligence, and data science to put the right tools into the hands of researchers to enable them to invent and commercialize ideas. The customer can extract and link data from multiple sources and make it available through their interface, which is vital in making the best decisions.

What You’ll Do
  • Gathers, evaluates, and has a strong baseline understanding of customer use cases and pain points through frequent contact
  • Advocates for customers’ needs with the cross-functional team and helps inspire the team to want to know more about users and meet their needs
  • Collects feedback and insight from customers and business stakeholders
  • Proposes design solutions, recognizing contribution from others
  • Makes proactive use of user insights to ensure all product and design decisions are guided by user research, and collaboratively analyzes results of research to recommend solutions
  • Presents design and research learnings to stakeholders to guide future projects
  • Develops and drives the UX vision for solutions and consults on the goals for the team that support the vision
  • Creates and manages the UX deliverables for the project including design assets, design patterns and style guides
  • Advocates and supports the adoption and use of cross-product style guides where needed to support design strategy
  • Drives the team’s plan for user testing to ensure adequate coverage, and partners closely with Product and Engineering
  • Expertly and efficiently iterates research methods and work based on testing and data analysis
What You Bring
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Solid understanding of UX research techniques and how to apply insights to improve designs
  • Knowledge of user centric design principles and lean UX methodologies
  • Hands-on experience or understanding of business analysis: comfortable working with requirements and product goals
  • Attention to detail and a user-centered mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and documentation skills
