This senior individual contributor role centers on building features, addressing technical debt, and integrating tools from game teams to enable automated gameplay testing across multiple projects.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of AAA gaming / game tools development experience.
• Strong hands-on Unreal Engine 5 experience.
• Experience with Unreal Gauntlet or comparable automation framework.
• Understanding of Unreal Blueprints and C++ integration.
• Experience with multi-project or large codebases; Git or Perforce experience.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for Unreal Engine-based games.
• Work with Gauntlet and other Unreal automation technologies.
• Add new framework features, fix bugs, and address technical debt.
• Integrate features from game integration teams into the automation framework.

• Automate gameplay by understanding and manipulating game inputs and systems.

We are looking for a Senior Unreal Engine Test Automation Engineer to help develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for AAA games.

You will work on the test automation infrastructure and frameworks that enable other engineers and QA teams to build and execute automated gameplay tests. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on tools and automation rather than people management.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for Unreal Engine-based games.
• Work with Gauntlet and other Unreal automation technologies.
• Add new framework features, fix bugs, and address technical debt.
• Integrate features and tools developed by game integration teams into the automation framework.
• Build reusable automation capabilities that can support multiple games/projects.
• Automate gameplay by understanding and manipulating game inputs and systems.
• Work closely with Unreal Engine gameplay, tools, and integration teams.
• Support automated testing across gameplay, unit, UI, and playthrough scenarios.
• Help improve and expand existing automation capabilities across projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical direction.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Unreal Engine 5.
• 4+ years of AAA gaming / game tools development experience.
• Hands-on experience developing test automation frameworks or automation tools.
• Experience with Unreal Gauntlet or a comparable game automation framework.
• Strong understanding of how games are built and structured in Unreal Engine.
• Good understanding of Unreal Blueprints and C++ integration.
• Experience working with multi-project or large codebases.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or Perforce.
• Ability to understand existing tools/frameworks quickly and extend or replicate their functionality.

Nice to Have

• AI/ML experience or experience using AI to develop tools.
• Unreal Editor tooling experience.
• TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD systems.
