Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

We are seeking a technical and entrepreneurial Senior Product Manager with a successful track record in product management for Prosumer, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, Legal Tech, Reg Tech, and/or Consumer Data products.

Optery’s product is sold to individuals, families, small and medium-sized businesses, large enterprises, and government agencies. It is similar to companies like LastPass, DropBox, and McAfee, sold both directly to consumers and to businesses for distribution to employees.

Optery maintains four primary interfaces: its consumer app (https://app.optery.com/signup), its business admin app (https://business.optery.com/signup), its API (http://www.optery.com/api), and backend workflows.

Our core functionality handles Data Subject Requests (DSRs) for managing data privacy preferences at data broker companies, helping clients comply with laws like CCPA, GDPR, VCDPA, CPA, etc. We also offer a free tier for self-service data privacy requests.

We seek a versatile Senior Product Manager to drive product development, reporting to the CEO and CTO, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align development with company goals and achieve measurable results.

The role involves generating product requirements, creating wireframes, collaborating with engineers, testing, documenting features, researching industry trends, and shaping the product roadmap. Excellent communication and a well-rounded skill set are essential.

We aim to launch innovative features that enable consumers to delete data from broker platforms using clever approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead product features for data broker operations, focusing on Data Subject Access Requests, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth.
• Develop features for consumer data privacy rights management and related APIs.
• Understand customer needs through research.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and release features.
• Create wireframes for new features.
• Test and QA new features to ensure quality.
• Produce marketing materials for new releases.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align product development with business objectives.
• Monitor and analyze product performance metrics.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities and inform the product roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Proven success in product management, 5+ years in relevant fields.
• Experience in cybersecurity or data privacy preferred.
• Understanding of data security and privacy concepts.
• Familiarity with API development and tools like Postman.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Data-driven analytical skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Bonus: Knowledge of privacy laws like CCPA, GDPR, VCDPA, CPA, ADPPA, California Delete Act.

Location

Remote, U.S. hours required (Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific).
