Qualificações

Position

We are currently seeking an individual to join our hard-working, dedicated team as a Substation General Foreman.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership, supervision and coordination of multiple projects and managing an in-house electrical crew of foremen, team leaders, electricians, apprentices and laborers as well as subcontractors and temporary employees on commercial, industrial and specialty projects, which may include medium and high voltage substation construction, up to $10 million.
  • Coordination and communication with customers and owners representatives on all aspects of job scope.
  • Lead a skilled team with a focus on safety and efficiency, ensuring high standards of performance and reliability in energy infrastructure projects.
Requirements

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following and any other duties as needed:

  • Oversee, coordinate, pre-plan and schedule all aspects of multiple electrical construction projects, including manpower, equipment, tools and materials, in conjunction with Hayden project management, other trades, subcontractors, vendors, customer and project ownership.
  • Ability to lay out all types of work including site and civil work; apply complete knowledge of electrical materials and tasks as needed in commercial, industrial or specialty electrical installations.
  • Ability to travel, with potential for extended stays on out-of-town project sites.
  • Skilled expertise in 138kV, 69kV and 15kV installations, troubleshooting, and working around medium and high voltage equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build professional relationships with the company, customers, management, field team, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in all job responsibilities and duties as required of a company Foreman.
  • Execute and manage required paperwork daily (e.g., manpower scheduling, daily journal, and team tasks).
  • Analyze and interpret blueprints and change orders across multiple disciplines (architectural, civil, electrical, fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing).
  • Manage bill of materials and project labor needs; monitor change order opportunities and risks; approve change orders prior to work being completed.
  • Review and approve manpower timecards weekly for submittal to project management and payroll by Monday morning.
  • Attend weekly and monthly company meetings as required for project and leadership success.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial, industrial and specialty systems.
  • Coordinate required inspections and initiate Hayden safety program on the jobsite (identifying hazards, investigations, toolbox talks, and ensuring safety standards compliance).
  • Maintain orderly and safe project materials, tools and equipment; keep work areas clean.
  • Supervise, mentor and evaluate crew members; perform ongoing and annual performance evaluations.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, management and customers.
  • Conform to company policies, procedures and safety requirements.
Education/Work Experience/Certifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in supervisory/team leader role with demonstrated project leadership and management abilities.
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Journeyperson certificate or equivalent work experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Aerial and forklift certification
  • Valid first aid/CPR certification
Skills/Abilities
  • Possess a journeyperson card or equivalent.
  • Possess valid CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Valid OSHA 30 certified.
  • Expertise in 138kV, 69kV and 15kV equipment and testing equipment/circuits.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and supervision skills.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the construction project as the General Foreman on site.
  • Working knowledge of the current National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA70E; attend approved NEC seminars.
  • Proficiency with computer and hardware/software (e.g., iPad, laptop).
  • Testing of electrical systems or continuity using meters (ohmmeters, voltmeters, megger).
  • Physically demanding tasks including trenching, conduit work, lifting heavy objects.
  • Operate and work from mechanical hydraulic lifts; operate company trucks and various equipment safely.
  • Effective communication and ability to follow instructions.
  • Commitment to company values and Safety First principles.
Working Conditions
  • Jobsite requirements include lifting up to 51 pounds; standing, bending or reaching for extended periods.
  • Work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with overtime as required and night shifts.
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers; may require overhead work for full-day assignments.
  • Work outdoors or in restricted areas; comply with NFPA70e and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain personal tools on site; tool belt typically weighs ~30 lbs.
  • Must use sanitary facilities on site (PortaJohns).
  • Work at heights up to 60' from ladders, scaffolds, lifts or other safe work areas.
  • Work from various ladders and carry/relocate tools up to 12 ft; acceptable.
  • Normal or corrected vision required; compliance with drug/alcohol screening policies.
Special Requirements
  • Ability to travel to local, in-state and out-of-state job sites; evening/weekend work as needed.
  • Personal transportation to and from local/regional jobsites.
  • On out-of-town projects, may stay 3 to 4 weeks at a time.
  • Wear PPE on site at all times: hard hat, safety glasses, vest, boots, gloves, harness as required.
  • Weight of personal tools and employee weight must not exceed ladder limits.
  • Background checks, screenings and physicals.
  • Conform to all company policies and procedures.
