We are a fast-growing real estate development and sports club franchisee business headquartered in Atlanta, GA. As we scale our club footprint and operations, we are expanding our lean, high-performance team to support rapid expansion.
About the role
As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting our franchise business operations. Reporting directly to our lead CPA, you will complete day-to-day accounting activities while helping to build and refine financial systems as we scale. This is a hands-on role that goes beyond traditional back-office work—your contributions will directly support both our accounting and operational functions. You’ll collaborate closely with the team, manage vendor relationships, and take ownership of bookkeeping, accounts payables, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with financial best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day accounting operations for our sports club franchise division
Perform monthly reconciliations, accounts payable, and general ledger management
Prepare and file taxes and financial documentation in coordination with our CPA
Manage vendor relationships and ensure accurate and timely payments
Support with setting up accounts, ordering equipment, and other finance-related startup tasks
Handle reporting needs across club-level operations
Maintain strong financial records across multiple entities/franchise units
Requirements:
5+ years of accounting experience
Extremely strong communication skills and a self-starter attitude
Able to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment with little micromanagement
Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable juggling both accounting and administrative duties that come with establishing new club locations
Expert in Quickbooks and Excel; experience working in the Microsoft office suite
Certification in Quickbooks is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
English fluency is required
Experience working with franchise businesses or multi-unit operations is a plus
Tools & Systems:
QuickBooks (online) – Must be highly proficient
Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) – High Proficiency required
