Principal SRE & Cloud Engineer | Remote LATAM | Full-time

At Sofka Technologies, we’re on a mission to help companies transform through high-quality, scalable, and resilient software solutions. We're currently looking for a Principal SRE & Cloud Engineer to join our team and work directly with one of our strategic partners in the U.S.

What will you do?

As a Principal Cloud Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure for high-demand production environments. You will drive best practices in infrastructure automation, observability, and scalability, working closely with development teams to streamline operations and improve delivery processes.

Must-Have Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience managing and architecting cloud infrastructure in production environments.
• Deep expertise in AWS (or another major cloud provider), including networking, security, and cost optimization.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes, including workload scaling and orchestration (experience with KEDA or Karpenter is a big plus).
• Solid knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Datadog, or Grafana.
• Experience designing or operating Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) to support engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills in English (B2+), capable of working directly with U.S.-based stakeholders.
• Availability to work full-time on a long-term engagement.
