• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent applied software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience with Python and modern front-end frameworks like React.
• 3+ years of cloud development and scalable design.
• Experience designing APIs, integrations, service boundaries, data models, and secure auth flows.
• Hands-on with AI-enabled solutions integration and evaluation of AI use cases.

• Lead technical discovery sessions with Product Managers and stakeholders to clarify problems and success metrics.
• Design, develop, test, and integrate end-to-end applications, tools, automations, and AI-augmented solutions of medium complexity.
• Translate ambiguous needs into technical options, architecture proposals, and clear trade-offs.
• Provide technical direction to engineers and help resolve design, integration, security, and production issues.
• Coach less experienced engineers through pairing, reviews, and feedback.
• Promote reusable patterns, engineering standards, testing, observability, and documentation.
• Collaborate across teams to align with security expectations and enterprise platforms.
• Evaluate solution effectiveness after release and suggest improvements.

About The Role

As a Senior Software Developer (Full Stack & AI Solutions) at John Deere in Indaiatuba/SP, you will join a collaborative IT Engineering team that partners with Global IT Product Management organizations to transform business ideas into impactful digital solutions. The team plays a key role in product discovery, helping translate business and product needs into scalable technical approaches while delivering tools, automations, integrations, and AI-enabled solutions that drive efficiency and accelerate product outcomes.

In this role, you will collaborate with Product Managers and cross‑functional stakeholders to understand business objectives, analyze challenges, evaluate technical alternatives, and develop secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. By leveraging modern full‑stack engineering practices and practical AI capabilities, you will help streamline workflows, improve decision‑making, reduce manual effort, and enhance the overall Product Management experience across the organization.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions with Product Managers and stakeholders to clarify problems, workflows, dependencies, constraints, and success measures.
• Design, develop, test, and integrate end‑to‑end applications, tools, automations, and AI‑augmented solutions of medium complexity.
• Convert ambiguous needs into technical options, architecture proposals, delivery increments, and clear trade‑offs.
• Provide technical direction to engineers and help resolve design, integration, quality, security, and production issues.
• Coach less experienced engineers through pairing, design reviews, code reviews, and practical feedback.
• Promote reusable patterns, shared components, engineering standards, automated testing, observability, and relevant documentation.
• Collaborate across teams to align solutions with enterprise platforms, security expectations, and product outcomes.
• Evaluate solution effectiveness after release and recommend improvements based on feedback, telemetry, and changing needs.

What Skills You Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• OR a bachelor's degree in another discipline with equivalent applied software engineering experience, typically 5+ years.
• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience, including strong hands‑on development in Python or a comparable server‑side language and a modern front‑end framework such as React.
• 3+ years of cloud development experience and practical knowledge of scalable application design.
• Experience designing APIs, integrations, service boundaries, data models, and secure authentication and authorization flows.
• Experience applying TDD or automated testing, DevSecOps, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational support practices.
• Hands‑on experience integrating generative AI or machine learning capabilities into software products, tools, or automations.
• Ability to assess AI use cases, define evaluation approaches, identify data and security considerations, and design appropriate human oversight.
• Strong problem‑solving, stakeholder communication, technical writing, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently across discovery, design, implementation, release, and improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• OR a bachelor's degree in another discipline with equivalent applied software engineering experience, typically 5+ years.
